Bogdan Podosu founded the company after years of running into pool chemistry problems that the standard approach couldn’t explain. He turned that frustration into a methodology — pool care built on chemistry, evidence, and a refusal to accept “this is just how it is” as an answer.

A more connected approach to pool care
Pool maintenance is not simply about adding chemicals when a test result is outside a recommended range. Water chemistry is a system. pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid, temperature, TDS and sanitizer levels interact with each other. A change in one parameter can affect the overall balance of the water and the way other parameters behave. Yet in everyday pool maintenance, these relationships are often difficult to see. PoolHealth was created to bring the relevant information together in one place and help users understand the condition of a pool as a complete system.
The knowledge gap
The pool industry is becoming increasingly specialized. Professional certifications are becoming more expensive, while knowledge is increasingly divided into different levels, courses and areas of expertise. For someone entering the industry, it can be difficult to understand the full scope of pool water chemistry and how individual chemicals and treatment decisions can affect water quality over time. At the same time, many pool owners depend entirely on the information provided by their service professionals and may have very little visibility into what is happening with their own pool. This creates a gap between having access to information and actually understanding the system. PoolHealth aims to reduce that gap.
